- Summer Youth Football Clinic - For the last ten years the Foundation has run an annual football clinic for children ages 6 -13. Gosder alongside some of his friends from BC and the NFL make it a point to teach children the fundamentals of football and provide a fun and productive atmosphere for all to enjoy. The 2019 Gosder Cherilus Youth Football Clinic was held in Boston, MA on June 22nd at Moakley Field.
- Haitian Earthquake Relief - Due to devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010 GCF provided aid and medical support to the country. With over three million people in need of help, The Gosder Cherilus Foundation sent a team of doctors and nurses on a weeklong trip to provide sorely needed medical assistance at hospitals in Port au Prince. Our efforts are now focused on providing continued support to supply and staff hospitals in Port au Prince to enable them to effectively administer medical care to all affected individuals for years to come
- Aid to Elementary Education in Haiti - The following is a thank you note sent from the director of a school in Haiti, L'ecole communataire des citoyens reunis. When the founder, Gosder Cherilus, was approached with the issue of a school on the precipice of shutting down due to a lack to funds to properly compensate the teachers' salaries, he took action. He simply wrote a check, out of pocket, and without hesitation, to the school to cover the remainder of the insufficient funds. Mr. Cherilus was able to keep a school open with a check for $2000.00. To some, this amount may seem trivial, but for these children it meant another year of learning. Here is a letter of gratitude sent to Gosder:
Desdunes, le 23 mars 2009 Monsieur Gosder CHÉRILUS
Boston, MASSACHUSSETTS
Cher monsieur Gosder,
Wilmarc PROVILON, directeur - Michigan Dine Out for Charity - November 2012. Local Plymoth, MI restaurants (Mother's Pizzeria, Ironwood Grill, and The Sardine Room) have joined together to support the Gosder Cherilus Foundation and its 2012 fundraising drive. On November 13, 2012 these restaurants donated a percentage of their sales to the foundation in support of its efforts to raise funds for Children's Center and City Mission in Detroit as well as Ecole Presbitreal de Desdunes, a grade 1 through grade 12 school in Haiti.
- Thanksgiving For Some of Detroit's Needy - November 2009. Days before Gosder's 2009 Thanksgiving game, he personally provided and delivered Thanksgiving dinner to four underprivileged Detroit households, totaling over 40 people. Each year he has continued to provide food for underprivileged families and in 2012 he enlisted the help of his fellow teammates and a local grocer.
- Players' Night Out - December 2012. On December 10, 2012 Gosder alongside several of his teammates hosted a fundraising event at Fiamma's Grille in Plymouth, MI benefiting the Gosder Cherilus Foundation and some of its current efforts (raising funds for Children's Center and City Mission in Detroit as well as Ecole Presbitreal de Desdunes, a grade 1 through grade 12 school in Haiti).
